1. Junior Field Service Engineer

• Location: Addis Ababa (with frequent field travel)

Job Summary:

The Junior Field Service Engineer (JFSE) is a learning level position responsible for meeting daily service repair needs of customer equipment through on-site learning processes and driving customer satisfaction through service excellence.

Technical Tasks:

• Working with senior field Engineers on basic troubleshooting, inspection, installation, maintenance, and service repair needs on various equipment.
• Completing Preventative Maintenance and Functional Management Inspections under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and ensuring they are calibrated.
• Meeting Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety, and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.

Skill and Educational Background:

• BSc in Biomedical Engineering / Electrical Engineering
• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Registered and licensed Junior Biomedical Engineer: Ministry of Health
• Repair, maintenance, and measuring instruments training certificate: National Metrology Institute

2. Senior Field Service Engineer

• Location: Addis Ababa (with frequent field travel)
• Salary: Negotiable

Job Summary:

Senior Field Service Engineer (SFSE) is responsible for performing timely and accurate installation, corrective and preventive maintenance of various modalities of equipment. The SFSE is also responsible for driving customer satisfaction through service excellence.

Competencies:

• Complete on-time and accurate installation, corrective/preventive maintenance, and field modification instructions (FMIs) on various equipment.
• Follow all Field Modification Instructions and/or Instrument Service Information bulletins.
• Order and manage repair parts cycle times.
• Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated.
• Comply with Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety, and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.

Skill and Educational Background:

• MSc/ BSc in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering
• 3 – 5 years’ experience providing repairs/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on designated equipment.
• Experience providing repairs/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
• Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
• Experience on Customer Handling.
• Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products.
• Basic Understanding/Experience on Networking and Good Computer Skill.
