Job Vacancy Announcement at Edge Communication Technologies Plc

Edge Communication Technologies is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions at our location in Addis Ababa. We are seeking dedicated individuals who meet the specified qualification and experience requirements.

1. Junior HR Expert

Location: Addis Ababa
Experience: Fresh Graduate

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain both physical and digital personnel records, including employment contracts and PTO requests.
  • Update internal databases with new hire information.
  • Create and distribute guidelines and FAQ documents regarding company policies.
  • Manage payroll data, including bank accounts and working days.
  • Publish and remove job advertisements.
  • Schedule job interviews and communicate with candidates as needed.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics.
  • Develop training and onboarding materials.
  • Respond to employees’ inquiries about benefits.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all HR-related tasks.

Skills and Educational Background:

  • BA degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of labor legislation.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Open to female candidates only.

2. Junior Accountant

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Resolve accounts payable and receivable issues or queries.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of cash, cheque, and credit card transactions.
  • Tally and file invoices.
  • Adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
  • Assist in financial and tax audits, and prepare general ledger entries.
  • Prepare income tax returns and meet corporate reporting requirements.
  • Analyze financial information and prepare balance sheets.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines, procedures, and federal and state regulations.
  • Complete end-of-month close procedures.
  • Prepare journal entries and manage general ledger operations.
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.
  • Generate monthly financial reports.
  • Assist with year-end closings.
  • Contribute to preparing budgets, forecasts, and payroll administrations.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations and Administrative Manager.

Skills and Educational Background:

  • BA degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field. For Female applicants only.
