1: Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary:
- The Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the performance, integrity, and security of the bank’s databases. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with data protection policies and provide technical support for Dashen Bank’s business and banking applications.

Skill and Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering, or any other equivalent field.
- Professional ICT qualifications such as OCA.
Experience:
- At least five (5) years of experience in advanced database administration with large-scale SQL Servers in multi-node clustered environments, including replication and security.
Required Technical Competencies:
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of database management, data segmentation, and interpretation.
- Knowledge and experience of relational databases.
- Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Hands-on experience in database tuning and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Familiarity with database management best practices.
- Working knowledge of data modeling, database administration problems and requirements, database analysis and design procedures, techniques, and implementation.
- Thorough knowledge of industry-standard database procedures, software development, and data definition and data manipulation language and utilities.
- Thorough knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Normalization techniques; ability to manage multiple databases.
- Familiarity with new emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with Database and Middleware performance analysis techniques.
