1. Associate, IT Support
Skill and educational background: BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields
Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in IT support
Job Grade: 6
Duty Station: Head Office
Availability: As soon as possible
Summary of Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, printers, scanners, electronic price display/tickers, IT-related equipment, networks, different applications, and power systems.
Provide required standard and on-demand reports.
Provide first-level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues.
Test and evaluate new IT equipment accessories purchased.
Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
Track, route, redirect, follow, and close incidents.
Diagnose hardware and software network problems.
Make routine checks and reports on the performance level of all IT equipment.
Monitor and maintain computer systems & peripherals (Printers, scanners, photocopy machines, different UPSs, electronic price display/tickers, IT-related equipment, and networks).
Develop plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
Maintain and provide general support for Local Area Networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), stand-alone systems, and any specialized systems used by the ECX including any associated network/backbone/infrastructure hardware/software.
Liaise and work with other IT units and central IT Support staff to solve user problems.
Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
Maintain a historical record of problem resolution & submit a trouble report to the Manager using the system.
Assess the need for new IT equipment, produce specifications, and monitor use.
Provide training to users on new applications, computers, and IT systems.
Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
