Bilal Microfinance Institution S.C. is seeking qualified and competent applicants for the following positions. The institution is a full-fledged interest-free microfinance organization established based on the NBE Directive No. MFI/32/2021 to provide Sharia-compliant and inclusive microfinance services to communities excluded from financial services due to interest.

1. Branch Manager

Location: Addis Ababa

Job Summary:

The Branch Manager plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls the activities of the branch to achieve the Institution’s objectives. Responsibilities include handling credit activities, follow-ups, attracting new savers, and participating in branch plan preparation.

Skill and Educational Background:

• Education: MBA/B.A Degree in Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance, or equivalent
• Experience: 4/6 years of related work experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial position

Technical and Other Skills:

• Knowledge and experience in Interest-Free Financing (Basics of Shariah)
• Leadership, effective communication, and team approach skills
• Technical and managerial ability, sound judgment
• Conceptual understanding of participatory approach and sustainable development
• Commitment to teamwork and gender equality
• Basic computer skills and good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure

2. Branch Customer Relation Senior Officer

Location: Addis Ababa

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling branch operations to achieve objectives. Handles credit activities, follow-ups, attracting new savers, and social promotion including group organization, client mobilization, and loan collections.

Skill and Educational Background:

• Education: MBA/BA Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or related
• Experience: 2/4 years of relevant experience

Technical and Other Skills:

• Knowledge and experience in Interest-Free Financing (Basics of Shariah)
• Commitment to serving the rural population
• Teamwork and gender equality
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure

3. Branch Cashier

Location: Addis Ababa

Job Summary:

Responsible for the receipt, payment/disbursement, and safe custody of cash. Manages fixed assets and supplies from Head Office.

Skill and Educational Background:

• Education: BA Degree in Accounting and related fields
• Experience: 3 years of related work experience

Technical and Other Skills:

• Organized and able to work independently
• Knowledge and experience in Interest-Free Financing (Basics of Shariah)
• Confidence in handling money
• Friendly and efficient communication
• Ability to work under pressure
• Basic computer skills

4. Branch Customer Relation Officer

Location: Addis Ababa

Job Summary:

Handles social promotion, group organization, client mobilization for saving and loan collections, loan appraisal, approved loan disbursement, and schedule collections.

• Education: BA Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or related fields
• Experience: 2 years of relevant experience

5. Branch Customer Service Senior Officer/Accountant

• Experience: 2/4 years of relevant work experience

6. Branch Clerk
