Position: Operations Officer – Somali Speaker

Skill and Educational Background:

Education: BA Degree in any field of study.
Experience: Previous experience as a Customer Service Representative.
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office and good typing speed.
Additional Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Somali.
Peachtree knowledge is advantageous.
Competency in data entry, analysis, and management.
Adaptability and presence of mind to handle customer queries and complaints.
Ability to innovate and enhance procedures to increase productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Scrutiny and collection of visa application documents.
Handle customer/applicant queries in person, via email, or telephone.
Manage cash and bank-related transactions with 100% accuracy.
Record and maintain all application data ensuring accurate and timely data entry into the system.
Oversee administration and logistics of passport delivery to consulate/applicant/logistics company.
Maintain compliance with standard operating procedures and manuals.
Inform applicants about available added services and ensure delivery of these services.
Encourage applicants to provide feedback on services and their overall experience.
Ensure the entire process is completed within the mandated turnaround time.
Assist the deputy manager/operation manager in the execution of WB projects.
Ensure judicious use of natural resources and adhere to the organization’s environment health and safety policy/objectives.

Language Requirements:

Mandatory: Fluency in Somali.
Additional: Fluency in English; knowledge of another international language is advantageous.

Salary: 20,275.00 ETB
Number of Positions: 6
