JSI NGO Vacancy Announcement: Community Engagement Specialist

JSI NGO is inviting qualified and competent applicants to apply for the position of Community Engagement Specialist. The role requires a strong background in health fields, social sciences, or related disciplines, with a focus on community engagement and empowerment.

Position: Community Engagement Specialist

Skill and Educational Background:

• Education:
• Master’s degree in health fields, social sciences, or a related field with relevant training and/or experience in community engagement and empowerment.
• Experience:
• Over five years of demonstrated technical and programmatic experience in community engagement and empowerment.
• Familiarity with the Ethiopian Primary Health Care system, including the Community Health Program and community engagement practices.
• Proven experience in providing technical support and capacity building.
• Community-level experience in facilitating training and workshops is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in capacity development of Non-State Actors (NSAs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
• Experience working with local governments, civil society organizations, and senior-level government officials is desired.
• Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent English writing and communication skills; fluency in a local language is an advantage.
• Proven teamwork and collaborative effort promotion.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Location: Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar, Semera, Sodo
