Initially structured as an Engineering Department, it focuses on constructing Army Hospitals, Depots, Camps, access roads, and other infrastructure for national defense. Over the years, it has expanded its scope to include large-scale projects such as roads, dams, irrigation infrastructure, and buildings across the country.
