Established in 2010 by Ethiopian Ministry of Council Regulation No. 185/2010, Ethiopia Defense Construction Enterprise operates as a public enterprise under the supervision of the Ministry of National Defense. Initially structured as an Engineering Department, it focuses on constructing Army Hospitals, Depots, Camps, access roads, and other infrastructure for national defense. Over the years, it has expanded its scope to include large-scale projects such as roads, dams, irrigation infrastructure, and buildings across the country.
