The Ethiopian Engineering Corporation (EEC) is seeking qualified and competent applicants for the following vacant post. The Corporation is transforming and diversifying from the current consultancy business operations to play a significant role in the success of the Ethiopian construction industry by managing high-end complex construction projects.

Position: Senior Site Engineer

Location: Bahirdar Project

Position Overview/Scope of Role:

The Senior Site Engineer will manage the on-site engineering according to relevant scope requirements, ensuring that all installation guidelines are applied, and that contract specifications and requirements are upheld. This role involves ensuring labor performance efficiencies are recorded and reported weekly to senior management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all contract specifications and guidelines are adhered to throughout the project.
• Issue material submissions in line with consultant requirements, maintaining a register.
• Ensure Method Statements & Risk Assessments comply with company HSE/QA-QC procedures.
• Manage a procurement/long lead item schedule with line managers/Section Manager, and follow up on material delivery dates.
• Control dissemination of contractual documents (drawings/contracts/specifications) to relevant site team members.
• Forward any changes to the scope of works to the Commercial Team immediately.
• Manage on-site drawing control and as-built information, ensuring weekly record updates.
• Maintain QA/QC requirements and ensure installations meet specifications prior to issuing inspection documentation.
• Record and report project team efficiencies and deviations to senior managers weekly.
• Ensure Testing & Commissioning Requirements, Spares Requirements, Warranty, and Defect Liability periods are managed and documented.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Skill and Educational Background:

• Education: BSc in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology and Management.
• Experience: 4 years or more in a similar setting within a construction company.
