Background:

Vétérinaires Sans Frontières – Germany (VSF Germany) is a non-governmental, non-profit making international organization engaged in veterinary relief and development work. The organization provides humanitarian aid and development assistance to pastoralists and vulnerable communities in areas where livestock is of importance. VSF Germany’s activities are focused on animal health, agriculture, marketing, and food safety, working towards food security and strengthened livelihoods of pastoralist communities. The organization operates in Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, and Somalia.

Position: Country Finance Manager

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Job Summary:

The Country Finance Manager will provide financial support to all donor-funded projects, ensure timely and accurate reporting and accounting, and offer financial advice to the country program management.

Cash Management
Recruitment, Staff Growth, and Development
Additional duties as assigned

Skills and Educational Background:

A degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar position.
Experience working with International Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
Knowledge of donor compliance, including USAID, EC, UN OCHA, GIZ, and the German Foreign Office.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Hands-on experience with ERP-MSD 365 BC is desirable.
Ability to work in a diverse team, maintain impartiality, and meet strict deadlines.
