1. Programme Officer (Humanitarian Cash Transfer)

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Duration: Temporary Appointment

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education:
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Social Policy, Development, or another relevant technical field.

Work Experience:

• At least two years of relevant work experience in providing programmatic and operational support to cash transfer programs, preferably in both humanitarian and social protection contexts.
• Experience with shock-responsive social protection is desirable.

Language Requirements:

• Fluency in English is required.
• Knowledge of the local language or any other official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset.

Desirables:

• Experience in working within government-led programmes.
• Background and/or familiarity with emergency contexts is considered a strong asset.
• UN work experience is an advantage.

2. Nutrition Officer

Location: Hawassa, Ethiopia
Duration: Temporary Appointment

Skill and Educational Background:

Education:
A university degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Health and Nutrition, Health Sciences, Nutritional Epidemiology, or other health-related science fields is required.

Work Experience:

• A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management and/or in relevant areas of maternal, infant, and child health/nutrition care.
• Experience in health/nutrition program/project development in a UN system agency or organization is an asset.

Language Requirements:

• Fluency in English and Amharic is required.
• Knowledge of another local language is an asset.
