Action Against Hunger is seeking qualified and competent applicants for the following position:

1. Position: ICT Officer – Maternity Cover

Work Base: Addis Ababa
Availability: As Soon As Possible
Salary Scale: EMS – 06 level 01, $662
Contract Length: Six (6) Months

Position Summary:

The ICT Officer, reporting to the ICT Manager, will be responsible for administering both in-house and commercial information system platforms, ensuring adherence to Action Against Hunger’s ICT standards, improving ICT resource efficiency, promoting user awareness, providing IT training, managing telecommunications resources (radio, satellite), and overseeing the base equipment list.

Key Responsibilities:

Purpose: Ensure the effective use of IT and telecommunication resources at the base while adhering to Action Against Hunger’s standards, procedures, and security rules.
Engagement: Work closely with line managers, technical supervisors, end users, service providers, partners, and other stakeholders.
Delivery: Submit a monthly report based on a preset action plan.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Background: BSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a humanitarian context.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical assistance across various departments.
Excellent spoken and technical writing skills in English, including report writing.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Adaptability, flexibility, and patience.
Knowledge of the Windows operating environment and Microsoft Office (2010, 2016), Microsoft 365.
Proficiency in IT troubleshooting, maintenance, and network/wireless technologies.
