Position: Facilitator for Empowerment

• Location: Gode, Somali Region
• Salary: USD $436

Job Summary:

The Facilitator for Empowerment (FFE) supports the RIPA-North Time and Cost Extension program in Gode, Somali, focusing on capacity-building and Natural Resource Management (NRM) activities. S/he works closely with communities, community organizations, and local authorities to implement project activities. The FFE is responsible for mobilizing communities, facilitating problem-solving, and reporting progress to the NRM Specialist.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Required: Completion of 12th grade.
• Desired: Diploma in Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Skills:
• Knowledge of the local Somali language (mandatory).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to reside in rural areas.
• Experience with participatory rangeland management and sustainable development.
• Proved motorbike driving license (mandatory).
• Teamwork, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

The position requires residing in the community, traveling long distances via motorbike due to the large geographic area covered by NRM activities.
