Position: Facilitator for Empowerment

Location: Gode, Somali Region
Salary: USD $436

Job Summary:

The Facilitator for Empowerment (FFE) supports the RIPA-North Time and Cost Extension program in Gode, Somali, focusing on capacity-building and Natural Resource Management (NRM) activities. S/he works closely with communities, community organizations, and local authorities to implement project activities. The FFE is responsible for mobilizing communities, facilitating problem-solving, and reporting progress to the NRM Specialist.

Qualifications:

Education:
Required: Completion of 12th grade.
Desired: Diploma in Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
Experience: 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
Skills:
Knowledge of the local Somali language (mandatory).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to reside in rural areas.
Experience with participatory rangeland management and sustainable development.
Proved motorbike driving license (mandatory).
Teamwork, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

The position requires residing in the community, traveling long distances via motorbike due to the large geographic area covered by NRM activities.
