Job Overview

The Senior IT Officer will work under the general supervision of the CEO, managing the company’s MIS services. This includes system development, networking, database management, and security administration to ensure the effective operation and expansion of the company’s information systems.

Key Responsibilities

• MIS Management: Plan, organize, direct, and control MIS services, including networking, database management, and security.
• Strategy Development: Formulate strategies and policies for an integrated MIS to support company operations.
• System Implementation: Oversee the design, development, implementation, and security of established systems; ensure adherence to MIS policies.
• Configuration and Maintenance: Determine configurations for MIS resources and perform troubleshooting for system malfunctions.
• User Support: Provide training, guidance, and leadership to system users.
• IT Security: Establish and enforce IT security standards and policies.
• System Improvements: Identify and implement improvements in the company’s information systems.
• Data Integrity: Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer and laboratory information.

Job Requirements

Education:

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 4 years of experience with an M.Sc. or 6 years with a B.Sc. in MIS, IT, or software development.

Core Competencies:

• Expertise in computerized information systems development.
• Strong knowledge of networking, database management, security, and systems administration.
• Ability to troubleshoot computer-related issues and provide user training.
