Position 1: Senior Procurement Expert – Local

Job Purpose:
Facilitates the timely purchase of supplies from local sources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality for efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan procurement with user departments, providing guidance on the process and timeframes.
• Develop specifications for services, equipment, products, or supplies.
• Research suppliers, evaluate based on criteria like price, quality, and service reliability.
• Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids and proposals.
• Monitor the procurement process, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Oversee the delivery of procured items to warehouses and issue warehouse documentation.

Qualifications:

• Education: BA or MA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Management, or related fields.
• Experience:
  • 5 years for BA holders.
  • 3 years for MA holders.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in e-procurement systems, Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong understanding of Ethiopian procurement laws and statutes.
  • Analytical, communication, and time management skills.

Position 2: Purchaser

Job Purpose:
Supports the smooth operation of the company by efficiently procuring supplies and ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase requests and orders.
• Prepare bid documents and assist in evaluations.
• Prepare and verify purchase orders, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Collect purchased items, verify product specifications, and resolve delivery errors.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and monitor contract performance.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or BA Degree in Purchasing, Business Management, Management, or related fields.
• Experience:
  • 3 years for Diploma holders.
  • 1 year for BA holders.
• Skills:
  • Familiarity with e-procurement systems and Ethiopian procurement laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
