Company Overview:

EthSwitch is the National Switch owned by all banks (both private and public) operating in Ethiopia, the National Bank of Ethiopia, Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), Payment Instrument Issuers (PIIs), and Payment Service Operators (PSOs). Our core mandate includes:

• Creating interoperability between financial institutions
• Implementing domestic payment schemes
• Providing a national payment gateway
• Serving as a central interconnectivity hub for clearing & settlement
• Offering shared platform/infrastructure services

1. Data Center Administrator III

Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and maintaining critical data center facilities, including generator and UPS maintenance, air conditioning troubleshooting, network cabling, and basic electrical installations.

Requirements:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
• 4/2 years of relevant experience, including 1–2 years in professional roles

2. Data Center Administrator II

Job Summary:
Manages and maintains critical data center facilities, focusing on generator and UPS maintenance, air conditioning troubleshooting, and network cabling.

Requirements:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
• 2 years of relevant experience

3. Senior Data Center Engineer

Job Summary:
Manages and optimizes data center infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability. Involves troubleshooting, capacity planning, and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
• 6/4 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in professional positions

4. Software Engineer / Developer (Two-year contract)

Job Summary:
Develops innovative payment infrastructure solutions, including design, coding, testing, and implementation.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficient in Mobile and Web Development (Dart, JavaScript, Python, C++, Java)
• Expertise in frameworks: Flutter, React.js, Node.js, Django, Angular, Vue.js
• Experience with REST API, QA tools (Selenium, Postman, Jest), Agile methodologies, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD tools

Advantages:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Experience with SQL, MongoDB, Firebase
• UI/UX design experience (Figma, Adobe XD)
