VisionFund Microfinance Institution (S.C), previously known as Wisdom Microfinance, is an institution established to provide financial services to the productive poor in rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. With over two decades of experience, VisionFund MFI designs various loan and savings products to meet the needs of low-income families. The institution operates in more than 112 branches across five regions of Ethiopia.

VisionFund Microfinance Institution is currently seeking qualified and competent applicants for the following vacant positions.

1. Senior Resource Mobilization & Customer Service Officer

Job Requirements

Qualification: MA/MBA/BA in Management, Banking, Marketing, Economics, or other related fields
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience for MA/MBA holders or 7 years for BA holders

Required Skills

Excellent knowledge of saving principles and practices
Good knowledge of VF MFI’s saving policies and strategies
Strong data analysis and analytical skills
Ability to provide guidance and assistance
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to train, facilitate, mentor, and coach

Employment Details

Place of Work: North Regional Operations Office (Amhara, Debre Birhan)

2. Manager, Risk Management Division

Job Purpose

The Manager of the Risk Management Division is responsible for identifying and mitigating risks related to credit, operations, asset-liability management, foreign exchange, and interest rates. The role involves analyzing, quantifying, and managing emerging risks while providing strategic recommendations.

Job Requirements

A) Education/Training

MA/BA Degree in Accounting & Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Management, or a related field

B) Experience

A minimum of 7 years of experience for MA holders or 9 years for BA holders, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within Banks, MFIs, or financial service institutions

C) Technical & Other Skills

Knowledge of risk management methodologies and research techniques
Strong analytical and evaluation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent written and oral communication skills
High level of customer service and strong willingness to work in the field
