About EDR

Ethio-Djibouti Railway Share Company (EDR) was established in April 2017 following a bilateral agreement between Ethiopia and Djibouti. EDR is a joint venture governed by Ethiopian commercial law, responsible for operating and maintaining the Ethio-Djibouti Standard Gauge Railway.

Required Qualification

Educational Background:
Degree or Level III, IV & V in the following fields:

Railway Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electromechanical
Automotive Engineering
Railway Systems
Industrial Engineering
General Mechanics
Automotive Technology
Electromechanical Technology
Machining Technology

Experience:

No prior experience required
Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply

Additional Requirements

COC (Certificate of Competency) is mandatory for applicants with Level III, IV, and V qualifications
Valid National ID (Fayda) is required
Applicants must be physically and mentally fit for intensive training
Willingness to undergo a 1-year semi-military training combining theoretical and practical components
Training location will be announced later
