Position Title: Specialist Buyer – Product Related

Awash Wine Share Company, a pioneer in the Ethiopian wine industry, is committed to producing world-class wines using the best local and imported materials. As part of our expansion and continuous improvement efforts, we are looking for a qualified and experienced Specialist Buyer to join our Procurement and Supply Chain Department.

Position Purpose

The Specialist Buyer – Product Related will manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packaging, and chemicals. The role ensures timely and cost-effective acquisition while maintaining compliance with procurement policies and contributing to quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging, and chemicals from tendering to purchase order.
Ensure adherence to procurement policies, timelines, and payment terms.
Plan orders in line with production and cellar capacity, aligned with the budget.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and contractual agreements.
Handle supplier selection, price comparison, and Proforma collection.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and coordinate logistics with the warehouse.
Follow up on FOREX approvals, clearing processes, and on-time delivery.
Evaluate supplier performance (delivery, communication, service) and track corrective actions.
Support Quality Department with supplier QA and material conformity.
Record procurement data in the ERP system and maintain documentation.
Ensure ethical practices and compliance with anti-bribery guidelines.
Contribute to team meetings and uphold safety and ISO standards in all tasks.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:
- MA or BA Degree in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
Experience:
- 4 years for Master’s Degree holders OR 6 years for Bachelor’s Degree holders in procurement, supply chain, or related functions.
