1. Operations Agent
Role Context:
As an Operations Agent, you’ll be crucial in ensuring all inbound and outbound shipments are processed efficiently and meet DHL Network standards and transit times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process shipments according to DHL standards and local regulations.
- Activate contingency plans for emergencies or special customer requests.
- Assist in effective operational practices and procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks for the Service Centre, including material processing and providing shipment information.
- Capture and make available necessary shipment information for the network.
- Ensure efficient inbound and outbound shipment clearance within performance targets.
- Process incoming material, ensuring availability for couriers and secure storage.
- Handle outbound material according to the latest procedures.
- Arrange and attend physical inspections of shipments by authorities.
- Monitor registration/license requirements for DHL Customs facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: A University Degree in any field.
- Experience: Prior experience with customs clearance in the transportation, logistics, or import/export industry.
- Skills: Computer literate, valid Driving License is mandatory.

2. Country Manager – Ethiopia
Role Context:
We’re seeking an exceptional leader to drive the success of DHL Express in Ethiopia. The Country Manager will ensure superior service performance, foster customer relationships, and achieve business growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enable and manage the achievement of service performance that exceeds customer expectations.
- Liaise with key customers to ensure retention, development, and growth of new business.
- Develop and maintain a favorable DHL image with various stakeholders.

- Experience: Significant senior management or general management experience in the express/logistics/aviation industry or similar service-related businesses. Broad understanding of all functional business aspects and sound experience managing a complete Profit and Loss entity of comparable size.
- Skills: High degree of business acumen, exceptional leadership and motivational skills, fluent in written and spoken English.

3. Gateway Customer Service Agent (ISPN Desk)
Role Context:
The Gateway Customer Service Agent (ISPN Desk) is responsible for proactive customer communication regarding shipments in transit, providing clearance guidance, and ensuring inquiries are handled efficiently while promoting DHL products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively contact customers for all shipments checking into customs.
- Record customer bookings for clearance paperwork collection.
- Provide accurate information on clearance delays and customs paperwork requirements.
- Generate detailed reports for contacted customers.
- Update ACA on customer feedback and open GEMA traces for NCI where applicable.
- Daily upload of reports on I-share.
- Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism, recognizing customers’ express requirements.
