Job Summary

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy of the business and ensuring efficient management of assets and resources. This position plays a critical role in maintaining financial health, enforcing governance, and supporting value creation initiatives. The role reports directly to the Finance Director.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Finance Leadership

• Advise the Finance Director on strategic investments and commercial decisions.
• Drive financial capability and team performance.
• Guide strategic planning and ensure alignment with key priorities.

General Accounting & Finance

• Maintain sound accounting and bookkeeping practices.
• Lead a competent finance team to provide accurate and timely financial information.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and credit policies.
• Oversee working capital and balance sheet management.

Governance & Control

• Promote corporate governance and risk management practices.
• Foster employee engagement and succession planning within the finance team.
• Strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders.

Planning & Reporting

• Analyze financial and macro-economic data to support budget planning.
• Coordinate balance sheet budgeting and reporting processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.

Decision Support

• Conduct finance literacy programs for other departments.
• Share best practices with the Finance Director and participate in group initiatives.

Educational Background

• Required: BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• Preferred: MBA in Finance

---

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management
• At least 5 years in a senior financial management role
• Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment is highly desirable

Skills and Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills
• In-depth knowledge of accounting systems and tax compliance
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Language Requirements

• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
