1. Junior Mechanical Engineer (MEP 007/2025)

Position Overview:

You will support the mechanical section of the team, contributing to design quality, performance, work processes, and resourcing management.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the design team.
  • Support in liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects meet specifications.
  • Support and learn in the development of production, including Clean Room design, computer modeling, selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, testing, and system implementation.
  • Communicate directly with the site team to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments.
  • Represent the company professionally and diligently at all times.
  • Support the development, review, update, modification, and approval of mechanical design plans and work schedules.
  • Collaborate on research, design, fabrication, and installation of HVAC mechanical equipment for various projects.
  • Consult on HVAC system and equipment design, working with other engineers, project managers, and construction professionals as needed.

2. Junior Electrical Engineer (MEP 008/2025)

3. Senior Accountant (Finance 012/2025)

Scope of the Role:

As a Senior Accountant, you will lead the day-to-day operational activities of the finance department, including payment preparation, cash book management, payroll administration, and monthly tax declarations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

General Accounting and Finance Functions:

  • Prepare various payment vouchers (procurement, overtime, petty cash advance) and ensure timely follow-up of advance settlements.
  • Manage advances and the cash book, performing daily physical cash counts and reconciliations.
  • Ensure transactions are properly coded and posted in the system.
  • Prepare quarterly aging reports for payables and receivables, monitoring liquidation and flagging long outstanding balances.
  • Prepare journal summaries.
  • Establish, maintain, and reconcile periodic financial transactions.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Administer and monitor the financial system for accurate and timely financial maintenance.
  • Assist in preparing income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and statements of change in equity.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly management reports and other requested reports.
  • Maintain financial files and records.
  • Perform monthly and year-end financial closings.

Tax and Audit Compliance:

  • Prepare and submit periodic VAT declarations.
  • Prepare, follow up on, and settle all tax-related payments (income tax, pension tax, VAT, profit tax) to ensure tax compliance.
  • Assist during external audits (both financial and tax) by providing required files.
  • Perform appropriate audit corrections as instructed.

Payroll Administration:

  • Ensure accurate computation and deduction of employment income tax and pension.
  • Check the correctness of net pay calculations for employee payroll.
  • Prepare and administer monthly staff payroll, ensuring timely salary transfers.

Requirements:

  • Education: B.A. degree in Accounting.
  • Experience: 5 years of related work experience. 1 year of experience at an international company is an added advantage. Demonstrated experience in a construction firm is an asset. Experience working with affiliated organizations commissioning complex construction projects is an asset.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, especially relevant to the construction industry in Ethiopia. Knowledge of local finance and accounting laws and regulations.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications (advanced Excel and Word), excellent analytical and numerical skills, sharp time management skills, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Software: Experience and working knowledge of using financial software.
