EASE Engineering PLC is looking for a qualified Assistant Repair and Maintenance Officer to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of machinery across their post-tensioning, precast, and PVC extrusion sections.

Position Details:

Position: Assistance Repair and Maintenance Officer

Job Purpose:

To perform and execute all repair and maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, minimal downtime, safety compliance, and alignment of maintenance activities with overall production goals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Implement and facilitate maintenance schedules to ensure peak operational efficiency and prevent unplanned downtime.
Machinery Supervision: Perform regular maintenance and repairs for a range of equipment including post-tensioning jacks, pumps, duct production machines, precast mold machines, vibrators, curing equipment, and PVC extrusion equipment.
Daily Equipment Monitoring: Monitor daily operational status of machinery, respond rapidly to urgent repairs, and supervise on-site maintenance teams.
Emergency Repairs: Execute emergency repairs with minimal impact on production continuity.
Spare Parts & Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory of spare parts and tools, ensure timely procurement, and reduce stockouts/overstock.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all maintenance activities meet relevant safety standards. Conduct safety reviews during each maintenance operation.
Team Coordination: Work with site engineers, production engineers, and operations staff to align maintenance activities with production schedules.
Site Performances: Perform machine-related tasks such as stressing, grouting, and dead-end making.
Planning Upgrades & Overhauls: Recommend and plan for machinery upgrades, overhauls, and replacements based on lifecycle data and production requirements.
Quarterly Program Review: Evaluate the effectiveness of the overall maintenance strategy quarterly, propose adjustments, and present performance data to senior management.
Cross-Functional Engagement: Participate with the production team to integrate maintenance schedules with operational needs for various products (Corrugated, HDPE Extrusion Duct, precast concrete).

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in machinery repair and maintenance within manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments, including at least 1 year in a team leadership role.
Expertise: Proficient in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques, skilled in troubleshooting hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Understanding of ISO and other safety and operational standards. Strong planning, leadership, and communication skills.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of post-tensioning, precast, and PVC extrusion machinery and related operations. Knowledge of safety compliance regulations and industrial health and safety standards. Awareness of spare parts lifecycle management and cost optimization. Familiarity with data-driven maintenance analysis and reporting.
