Shift Supervisor

Edomias International Plc., a leading Human Resource solutions provider in Ethiopia, is looking for a qualified and competent Shift Supervisor to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth daily operations, effective team management, and adherence to company standards.

Job Summary:

A Shift Supervisor oversees daily work shift operations, ensuring efficiency, team performance, and compliance with company standards. This involves managing and motivating employees, handling customer interactions, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The supervisor acts as a bridge between frontline staff and management to ensure effective shift operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise Daily Operations: Ensure work is completed correctly, efficiently, and according to established plans and procedures.
Team Leadership & Development: Involved in recruitment and onboarding, providing training, managing employee performance, and giving regular feedback.
Workforce Management: Forecast labor requirements, plan schedules, manage absences, assign substitutions, maintain accurate attendance records, and administer leave requests.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations, identify and address safety concerns, lead accident investigations, and manage worker’s compensation claims.
Communication & Coordination: Understand all department operations, communicate effectively with employees and management.
Administrative Tasks: Track and analyze worker’s compensation claims, administer disciplinary actions, and verify/submit medical prescriptions for reimbursement.

Salary & Allowances:

Basic Salary: 12,276.00 ETB
Transport Allowance: 1,500.00 ETB
Position Allowance: 1,227.06 ETB

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Economics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Factory Supervisor.
Skills: Leadership, Communication, Problem-Solving, Decision-Making, Time Management, Industry Knowledge, and Safety Awareness.
