Elsewedy Cables Ethiopia PLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior HR Generalist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll and policy adherence, while building strong relationships with company managers.
Position: Senior HR Generalist
- Key Accountabilities: The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, and company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with the company’s managers to help them with their human resource needs.
- Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Review monthly attendance and leaves reports, including overtime, working days, deductions, sick leaves, and official vacations that will reflect on employees’ salary, and manage vacations yearly settlements.
- Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports.
- Prepare and circulate HR announcements such as Public Holidays and other announcements.
- Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
- Prepare periodic payroll reports for review by management.
- Support the new employee orientation process; ensure that all required new employee forms are properly prepared and signed; create new employee personnel files.
- Manage new employee travel and accommodation arrangements and logistics.
- Coordinate with the Public Relations team for visa documentation collection and follow-up.
- Ensure that all documents of the employee file comply with the documents needed as set by the Labor Law.
- Manage and administrate the medical insurance enrollment and claims for the employees.
- Manage the process of employee termination and suspension (resignations, end of contract, etc.) of employees.
- File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
- Qualification & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or a related area.
- 7-10 years of experience working in payroll, personnel, administration, and support of other functional areas of human resources in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
