EthSwitch is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join their newly established Risk Management and Compliance Division. This pivotal role involves ensuring EthSwitch’s adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory, ethical, and internal policy requirements, both domestically and internationally. The officer will lead compliance initiatives, manage regulatory relationships, and promote operational integrity within the organization.

Position Details:

Position: Senior Compliance Officer

Job Purpose:

The Senior Compliance Officer is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance framework. They will act as a primary liaison with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders, supporting proactive risk mitigation and fostering a strong culture of compliance throughout EthSwitch.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Economics, Information Technology, Law, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Master’s degree holders.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience for Bachelor’s degree holders.
  • Experience should be in compliance or regulatory affairs, preferably within financial services or digital payments.
  • Proven experience working with financial institutions, financial intelligence units, or regulatory bodies is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge & Skills:
  • Demonstrated understanding of Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), sanctions, and data protection standards (e.g., FATF, Basel, GDPR).
  • Experience with compliance technology platforms, risk registers, and monitoring tools.
  • Certification in Compliance, AML (e.g., CAMS, ICA), or Risk Management is an advantage.
  • Key skills required include Risk Management and Accounting.
