One Planet International School, a reputable and accredited international school in Addis Ababa, is expanding its team and seeking competent, experienced, and aspiring professionals for various roles. These positions are key to developing engaging online educational content for Ethiopian students, primarily for their “Tutor Me” app, and for their in-school programs.

The school is looking for a diverse range of talent, from Subject Matter Experts to Digital Content Creators (Motion Graphic Designer, Video Editor, Camera Operator), and Experienced Educators across various grade levels and subjects, as well as a Quality Assurance Coordinator.

Digital Content Production Team

Subject Matter Expert

Job Purpose: Create engaging and interactive digital content for online platforms (digital and print media).
Subjects: English (Expats), History, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, and Economics.
Grade Level: Grade 9 to Grade 12.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related subject. At least 3 years of high school teaching experience in the respective subject. Experience in designing and delivering online or hybrid courses is a plus.
Skills: Strong subject matter expertise, excellent communication and writing skills, proficiency with online teaching tools (Google Classroom, Moodle), familiarity with video editing/multimedia software is an advantage, ability to manage deadlines independently, commitment to fostering an engaging online environment.
Work Mode: Remote/Hybrid with flexible hours.

Motion Graphic Designer

Location: Addis Ababa
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Description: Design and animate motion graphics for educational video content (lower thirds, title cards, icons, infographics, explainer animations). Collaborate with other creatives, ensure visual consistency, handle revisions, and organize project files.
Requirements: Minimum 1 year of professional experience in motion graphics or related design. Strong portfolio (must be attached). Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro. Basic understanding of storytelling and pacing. Attention to detail, creativity, ability to meet deadlines, and good communication/teamwork skills.
Bonus Skills: Familiarity with the Ethiopian education system or educational content production.

Video Editor

Location: Addis Ababa
Employment Type: Full-time Contract base
Job Summary: Edit raw video recordings into professional-grade, high-quality educational content for the Tutor Me app. Sync audio/video, add captions, animations, and transitions, incorporate feedback from SMEs, perform color grading and audio balancing, organize files, and ensure outputs meet platform requirements.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably in educational or media production. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve. Strong knowledge of audio editing tools (Audition) and basic animation tools (After Effects). Attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and knowledge of video compression/formats.
Preferred Skills: Basic animation or motion graphics skills.

Camera Operator

Location: Addis Ababa
Employment Type: Full-time Contract base
Job Summary: Record high-quality educational videos for the Tutor Me app by filming subject matter experts delivering lessons, ensuring professional standards for sound and visuals.
Responsibilities: Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment in studio settings. Collaborate with SMEs and directors, conduct pre-recording checks, maintain proper lighting/sound/focus, capture smooth footage, organize/label raw footage, troubleshoot technical issues, adhere to schedules, and follow safety protocols.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Camera Operator, preferably in educational or studio production. Proficiency with professional camera equipment and accessories. Knowledge of studio lighting techniques and sound recording setups. Ability to manage multiple sessions, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with video production workflows.
Preferred Skills: Experience recording educational content/tutorials, basic understanding of video editing software.

Academic and Quality Assurance Roles

Early Years Educators

Job Requirements: Minimum BA/BSc or BED Degree. Certificate/Diploma in Teaching & Learning from Cambridge International Education is advantageous. Teaching experience, especially with Cambridge curriculum. Good writing and verbal English command. Proactive, trustworthy, flexible, dynamic, fast learners, adaptable, with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

Primary Self-contained Teachers

Job Requirements: Minimum BA/BSc or BED Degree. Certificate/Diploma in Teaching & Learning from Cambridge International Education is advantageous. Teaching experience, especially with Cambridge curriculum. Good writing and verbal English command. Quality Assurance Coordinator

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (Master’s preferred). At least 5–8 years of experience in quality assurance or academic coordination, preferably in an international school setting. Familiarity with the Cambridge International Curriculum and its assessment standards. Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a diverse and multicultural team.
