The Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise (ESLSE) is a merger of four enterprises formerly operating independently in the sea transport sector:

• Ethiopian Shipping Lines Share Company
• Ethiopian Maritime and Transit Service Enterprise
• Dry Port Enterprise
• Comet Transport Share Company

These organizations were consolidated in August 2016 to form the current enterprise.

Among its founding entities, the Ethiopian Shipping Lines S.C., established on March 1, 1956 E.C. with a starting capital of 50,000 Ethiopian Birr, stands as one of the key pillars in the evolution of Ethiopia’s maritime sector.
