Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will oversee general accounting functions, ensure accuracy of financial transactions, check and reconcile daily sales, support month-end and year-end closing processes, and provide leadership to the accounting team while improving financial efficiency and compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Verify, allocate, and reconcile A/P & A/R transactions
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger & bank accounts
• Review & reconcile daily sales records with bank deposits
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for management
• Analyze financial data and identify errors or inefficiencies
• Support and guide Management Accountant & accounting team
• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and systems
• Ensure complete documentation before posting transactions
• Record transactions in line with IFRS & company policy
• Monitor posting processes and resolve outstanding issues
• Prepare payroll and ensure timely salary payments
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ledger adjustments
• Handle VAT, withholding tax, pension & statutory reporting
• Communicate long-outstanding receivables to Marketing/Sales
• Analyze aged payables and report to Accounting Manager
• Supervise junior accountants and data entry clerks

Education & Experience

• BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 4 years relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles & financial reporting
• Proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software (required)
• Knowledge of IFRS essential
• Strong analytical, communication & organizational skills
• High attention to detail & problem-solving ability
