Job Position 2: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Place of Work: Addis Ababa
Employment Type: Permanent

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields
• Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in building construction projects
• Professional Certification: Membership or certification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is required

Job Summary

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs related to building construction and maintenance projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. The role involves close coordination with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects are completed within approved budgets. The position also provides expert advice on cost management, contract negotiation, procurement, and ensures the financial sustainability and profitability of construction projects.
