Position: Senior Finance & Accounting Officer

Terms of Employment: One-Year Contract (with possibility of extension)
Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Software

• Maintain Peachtree accounting records
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage asset registers

Audit & IPSAS Compliance

• Lead annual institutional audits based on IPSAS
• Coordinate and manage all project-specific audits

Payroll & Tax

• Prepare monthly payroll
• Ensure timely settlement of statutory taxes in compliance with Ethiopian Tax Law

Financial Management

• Prepare project budget utilization and financial reports
• Maintain strong internal control systems

Operations & Administration

• Ensure transparent beneficiary and supplier selection
• Support procurement, logistics, and administrative functions

Supervision & Coordination

• Coordinate financial documentation and reporting between Head Office and Project Offices

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

---

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant NGO experience
• Proven experience in:
  • IPSAS-based reporting
  • Peachtree Accounting Software
  • Ethiopian Tax Laws

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and supervision skills
• Excellent reporting and documentation ability
• High proficiency in accounting software (Peachtree)
• Strong integrity and attention to detail
