DCA Ethiopia is currently seeking a qualified and competent candidate for the following position:

1. MEAL Assistant – Waghimra (Sekota)

Number of Positions: 1
Type of Contract: One-year contract with possibility of extension
Reporting to: Program Manager
Expected Start Date: May 01, 2026
Salary: According to DCA’s National Staff Salary Scale

Qualification and Experience:

Minimum Diploma in Development Studies, Statistics, Economics, Demography, Project Planning and Management, or related social science field
At least 2 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation
Experience working with vulnerable populations in humanitarian or refugee contexts
Strong knowledge of MEAL systems, data collection, management, analysis, and reporting
Practical experience using Kobo/KoBoToolbox for data collection, extraction, and analysis
Understanding of project cycle management and ability to design data collection tools (surveys, interviews, FGDs)
Strong communication skills, attention to confidentiality, diversity, and data protection
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain effective working relationships

Roles and Responsibilities:

Implement MEAL systems according to DCA policies and project MEAL plan
Conduct field monitoring, beneficiary verification, post-distribution monitoring (PDM), and baseline assessments
Maintain updated beneficiary and project databases
Compile and analyze monitoring data to track outcomes and document lessons learned
Support community feedback and complaints mechanisms
Generate timely monitoring reports for project management and donor compliance
Collaborate with Program and CO MEAL teams to integrate MEAL activities into project planning and implementation
Contribute to learning and continuous improvement of MEAL processes

Required Skills:

Project management
Data management and analysis
Knowledge of digital data collection tools (Kobo/KoBoToolbox)
Reporting and documentation skills
