1. Senior Accountant

Location: Ethiopia (Office-based)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements (Ethiopian standards & IFRS)
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws; prepare VAT, withholding, and income tax reports
• Lead month-end and year-end closings
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations
• Supervise junior accounting staff
• Coordinate internal/external audits
• Monitor cash flow and budgeting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification preferred
• 5–8 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and IFRS
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software (Peachtree, QuickBooks, SAP)

Skills:

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher)
• Communication, leadership, problem-solving, attention to detail

2. Junior Accountant

Location: Ethiopia

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting data entry and reconciliation
• Assist in accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial closings
• Prepare invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders
• Assist senior accountants in generating financial reports
• Support compliance with accounting policies
• Collaborate with teams to resolve financial discrepancies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Prior internship or entry-level accounting experience is a plus
