External Vacancy Announcement: Henway Trading and Construction PLC

Henway Trading and Construction PLC is a prominent firm recognized for high-quality project execution, innovation, and sustainability. We are currently expanding our team and seeking a motivated individual to join our finance department.

Position: Junior Accountant (Female Only)

Job Purpose: To support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and Ethiopian tax regulations.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 0–2 years (Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply).
Location: Addis Ababa (Nifas Silk Lafto Sub-City).
Mandatory Requirement: This position is open to female applicants only who reside in or near Nifas Silk Lafto Sub-City.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Recording: Record daily transactions and maintain organized documentation.
Documentation: Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and receipts.
Tax Compliance: Support monthly tax filings including VAT, Withholding Tax, and Payroll Tax.
Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations.
Audit Support: Provide required documentation for internal and external audits.
Administrative Support: Perform other finance-related administrative duties as assigned.

Required Competencies

Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and Ethiopian tax laws.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel).
Attributes: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and high integrity/confidentiality.
Work Ethic: Willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively within a team.

General Information

Industry: Construction and Trading.
Preference: Experience within construction or trading companies is considered an advantage.
