Detailed Matrix of Open Positions & Selection Criteria

1. Chief Project Manager / Project Follow-up, Coordination & Monitoring Division Manager

  • Education: BSc or MSc Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related structural fields.
  • Experience Thresholds:
    • General Tenure: Minimum of 10 years (for BSc) or 8 years (for MSc) in construction project monitoring.
    • Specific Post Tenure: Minimum of 4 years (for BSc) or 2 years (for MSc) serving explicitly as a head Project Manager over large-scale real estate or commercial builds.
  • Core Duties: Drive master project planning, control multi-million Birr budgets, streamline cross-departmental workflows, enforce PMO best practices, run risk assessments, and present technical milestone metrics directly to senior group executives.
  • Key Required Skills: Creative problem-solving, structural coordination, and extensive stakeholder networking.

2. Senior Architect

  • Education: BSc or MSc Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from an accredited university.
  • Experience Thresholds:
    • General Tenure: Minimum of 10 years (for BSc) or 8 years (for MSc) in building construction design.
    • Specific Post Tenure: Minimum of 4 years (for BSc) or 2 years (for MSc) serving explicitly as a Senior Design Architect for high-end structural developments.
  • Core Duties: Create functional, aesthetic architectural designs, review complex schematic blueprints, optimize spatial requirements, and coordinate structural blueprints with civil and MEP engineering lines.
  • Key Required Skills: Architectural creativity, advanced 3D modeling/visualization tool literacy, and local Addis Ababa building code fluency.

3. Office Engineer (2 Openings Documented)

  • Education: BSc or MSc Degree in Civil Engineering or related construction management fields.
  • Experience Thresholds:
    • General Tenure: Minimum of 6 years (for BSc) or 4 years (for MSc) in building and infrastructure infrastructure projects.
    • Specific Post Tenure: Minimum of 4 years (for BSc) or 2 years (for MSc) working strictly within an Office Engineering capacity (take-offs, variations, contract management).
  • Core Duties: Review construction drawings, compile precise cost estimations and material take-offs, manage project documentation, evaluate payment certificates, and coordinate technical specification changes between site crews and architects.
  • Key Required Skills: Strong analytical thinking, development-oriented mindset, and proficiency in engineering software tools.

4. Safety Engineer

  • Education: BSc Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering or related technical safety fields.
  • Experience Thresholds:
    • With a BSc Degree: Minimum of 5 years of total experience, with at least 3 years working as an active construction Safety Officer in a full-capacity role.
    • With a College Diploma: Minimum of 8 years of total experience, with at least 4 years serving directly as a structural Safety Officer.
  • Core Duties: Conduct rigorous safety audits across high-rise project sites, draft and enforce site safety policies, run mandatory emergency/hazmat hazard drills, investigate any active safety incidents, and act as the principal regulatory liaison to local construction safety bodies.
  • Key Required Skills: Risk mitigation design, safety metrics analysis, and a strict development-oriented safety mindset.

5. Human Resource Officer

  • Education: BA Degree in Management, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Business Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related tracking fields.
  • Experience Threshold: Minimum of 6 years of corporate HR experience, with at least 2 years serving in a relevant officer post.
  • Core Duties: Manage end-to-end recruitment pipelines, manage standard onboarding tracks, utilize HRIS software suites for database reporting, coordinate employee training evaluations, handle employee relations, and ensure adherence to Ethiopian labor laws.
