Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
The Customer Service Representative / Front Desk Officer serves as the primary point of contact for Virtual Equb members (Equbtegna) both at the central office and in the field.
- Customer Handling & Inquiries:
- Serve as the primary front-desk contact for visiting Equbtegna, providing accurate information and support.
- Address customer inquiries via telephone, email, WhatsApp, and in-person channels regarding products, services, and membership.
- Resolve complaints and service issues professionally to maintain high satisfaction and customer retention.
- Field Operations & Member Acquisition:
- Conduct field-based activities, including door-to-door community outreach to recruit new members.
- Conduct field assessments and evaluations for lottery winners.
- Collection & Administrative Support:
- Follow up and collect regular due and overdue member contributions, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
- Process member registrations, agreements, payment records, and account updates accurately.
- Prepare and submit performance, field activity, and collection reports on a regular basis.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Virtual Equb products, digital systems, and standard procedures.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field of study.
- Work Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Equb operations, Fintech companies, sales, customer service, banking, logistics, or import/export.
- Preferred Qualifications / Advantages:
- Prior work experience within Fintech or traditional/digital Equb-related organizations.
- Existing client or business network in commercial/market centers.
- Key Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Amharic & English).
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- Problem-solving, complaint resolution, and conflict management abilities.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and disciplined with strong time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite, email, and call handling software).
- High level of integrity, patience, professionalism, and ability to perform under pressure.
