Menschen fuer Menschen Foundation is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to fill the position of Water Engineer. The successful candidate will be based at our Program Coordination Office in Addis Ababa. This is a yearly renewable contract with a negotiable salary.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Plan, write proposals, and evaluate all water programs, projects, and activities.
2. Assess study and detail design documents for water source investments.
3. Participate in the study and design work for various water projects.
4. Revise design documents, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and project costs.
5. Prepare contract documents, specifications, and agreements.
6. Ensure the coordination and timely execution of water-related initiatives.
7. Maintain a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English.

Qualifications:

• MSc or BSc in Water Engineering, Hydraulics, Irrigation, or Water Resource Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience for BSc holders and 6 years for MSc holders, with a proven track record in design, construction supervision, and contract administration.
• Additional experience in project proposal writing, preparing concept notes, project coordination, and report writing is desirable.
