Position: Customer Service Officer III

Location: Hossana Banking Center

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Officer III is responsible for serving customers, managing customer relations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. They are tasked with promoting and selling the bank’s products and services, acquiring new customers, and maintaining customer accounts. Additionally, they handle cash transactions and adhere to the bank’s policies and procedures.

Major Duties:

  • Promote and cross-sell the Bank’s products and services.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Call and visit potential and existing customers to promote the bank’s products and services.
  • Open and maintain deposit accounts, process cheque, Card Banking, Mobile Banking, and Internet Banking requests.
  • Handle customer applications for credit and international banking, ensuring completeness and eligibility.
  • Disburse loans, manage loan status changes, and handle loan amendments.
  • Approve loans within the bank’s set thresholds.
  • File insurance endorsement letters and collateral documents.
  • Reconcile suspense and Head Office Accounts, ATM, and POS transactions.
  • Process checks, payments, and transfers through the clearance system.
  • Verify bank signatures and check the validity of documents.
  • Prepare, sign, and post various tickets, vouchers, annexes, and other documents.
  • Take custody of cash, cheque books, cards, and other instruments as per bank policies.
  • Review and authorize transactions and account openings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of relevant experience with 2 years at CSO I/II level or equivalent.
