Job Opportunity for Fresh Graduates at UNDP

Are you a recent graduate passionate about international development and eager to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? UNDP is offering internship opportunities at its Regional Service Centre for Africa (RSCA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Position: Inclusive Growth Team Intern

Skill and Educational Background:

  • Enrolled in a Master’s degree programme in economics, public policy, development studies, or a related area from a recognized, accredited university.
  • Previous work experience is not required, but some relevant experience in international development would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and excellent computer skills.
  • Understanding of issues related to international development and knowledge of the UN system is desirable.
  • Strong drafting and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working collaboratively in multicultural teams.
  • Good Graphic Design, Visual Arts, and/or Communications skills are advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of French is desirable.

Internship Requirements:

  • Responsible for obtaining necessary visas and arranging travel to and from the duty station (Addis Ababa).
  • UNDP provides a stipend to cover basic daily expenses related to the internship.
  • Interns must provide proof of enrollment in a health insurance plan.
  • Interns are not staff members and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity.
