Position: Senior Digital Banking Business Officer

Location: Addis Ababa (Head office)

Main Duties:

• Conduct market studies on the business potential of digital banking services.
• Monitor new developments in the digital banking service landscape, analyze business trends, costs, and propose operational features.
• Perform proactive business case analysis to assess the feasibility of digital banking services and proposed payment systems.
• Scrutinize digital banking service performance, identify weaknesses, challenges, and propose remedial actions.
• Collaborate with the planning team to set periodic targets for digital banking services and ensure they are cascaded down to districts and branches.
• Collect and evaluate digital banking service performance data on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Ensure effective implementation of new digital banking service initiatives and conduct post-implementation reviews.
• Participate in the development of business strategies for digital banking services.
• Monitor the implementation of strategies, objectives, targets, and initiatives related to digital banking services.
• Review operational policies, procedures, and guidelines, and update them as needed based on internal processes and market requirements.

Skill and Educational Background:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or related fields with 3.5 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5.5 years of experience, preferably in the banking industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
• Familiarity with digital banking technologies and trends.
