K. Mikedem General Import and Export Vacancy Announcement

1. Junior Logistics Officer

Skill and Educational Background:

BA degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from a recognized college/university
Preferably experienced in an import/export company
Proficient in Ms-Word & Ms-Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

Preparation of bank permits, invoices, and packing lists for import and export shipments
Maintain communication with other logistic departments, airlines, banks, and governmental offices
Lead all logistics and operations departments
Arrange sales contracts, shipment schedules, and documentation
Communicate with international buyers and suppliers about shipment schedules and status
Interact with third-party logistics service providers
Audit freight costs and documentation
Ensure all payments are processed in time
Create packing lists and update shipment information in the database
Organize files both manually and electronically
Monitor and facilitate repair orders
Coordinate deliveries
Ensure that all documents are delivered to customers and airlines
Flight booking and follow-up
Perform other duties as assigned by the department or organization
Assist sister companies and other departments as needed
Prepare annual and quarterly work plans and report work progress on a weekly basis
