Required Qualification and Experience:
- Education: First Degree or above in Accounting & Finance, Financial Accounting, or related fields.
- Experience: Not required, but familiarity with accounting principles and software is essential.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software.
- Good experience with Peachtree Accounting Software.
Major Responsibilities:
- Financial Document Preparation:
- Prepare and review supporting documents for finance transactions to ensure compliance with internal audit and organization requirements.
- Monthly Financial Reports:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial management reports.
- Financial Records Maintenance:
- Prepare, maintain, and control financial reports using Peachtree accounting software.
- Manage subsidiary accounting records involving various transactions and accounts.
- Daily Financial Transactions:
- Process daily financial transactions.
- Reconciliation and Analysis:
- Perform monthly income and expenditure statements and balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis for review by the finance manager.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and distribute financial reporting information monthly, quarterly, and annually for donors and management.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to outside and program staff in the field and Head Office.
- Ledger Accounts Maintenance:
- Maintain various ledger accounts, including reconciliation of revenue accounts, expenditures, and balance sheet accounts.
- Review Accounting Documents:
- Ensure the accuracy of information and calculations in accounting documents and make or direct correcting entries.
- Bank Reconciliations:
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Year-End Procedures:
- Support the year-end procedure and preparation for external audit.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
