II. Statement of Duties
General Statement of Purpose of the Contract
The Specialist serves as an advisor providing strategic, technical, analytical, and management support on health logistics and supply chain management. Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a COR/AOR and/or Activity Manager for health logistics and supply chain programs.
- Providing financial and programmatic oversight.
- Conducting site visits for monitoring progress.
- Offering technical guidance to Health Office staff, USAID Mission, implementing partners, and the host government.
- Representing USAID in technical working groups and other fora.
Duties to be Performed
- Program Management: Oversight of health logistics and supply chain programs.
- Technical Guidance and Leadership: Offering strategic and technical support in health supply chain management.
- Representation and Reporting: Representing USAID in national/international meetings and preparing key reports.
III. About You
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree in social science, statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, epidemiology, health informatics, public health, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in health supply chain performance improvement activities.
- Language: English and Amharic at Level IV.
