GOAL Ethiopia Vacancy Announcement

1. Area Logistics Supervisor

  • Reference No: REC/108/24
  • Location: Gambella
  • Reports to: Area Manager
  • Number of Posts: 01

Job Summary:

The Area Logistics Supervisor will support all logistics and supply chain activities at the area office. They will ensure logistics support for program and operational activities, including supplies and fleet management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar role.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Desirable:

  • 5 years of experience in multi-sectoral logistics.
  • Certification in CIPS/Fritz.
  • Familiarity with donor guidelines (PRM, ECHO, WFP, USAID/BHA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of local languages.

2. Area Senior Procurement Officer

  • Reference No: REC/109/24
  • Location: Gambella
  • Reports to: Area Manager
  • Number of Posts: 01

Job Summary:

The Area Senior Procurement Officer will support the sourcing and procurement of supplies, services, and works in a cost-effective manner. They will contribute to procurement procedures and strategies, ensuring smooth operations for GOAL Ethiopia.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate in a business discipline. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience: 2-3 years in logistics/procurement, preferably with INGOs.
  • Skills:
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience in procurement, document handling, and archiving.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Desirable:

  • Supplier contracts and framework agreement management.
  • Certification in CIPS/Fritz.
