Summary of the Position:

The Health Expert – Deputy Head of Department will work under the direct supervision of the Head of Department for Nutrition and Health. The role includes providing technical support in health programs, capacity building for health staff, and assisting in the development of an integrated country strategy. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating with the Head of Department in designing and formulating health and nutrition programs.
• Liaising with Ministry of Health focal points and regional health bureaus to build partnerships.
• Managing health projects efficiently, collaborating with stakeholders.
• Spending 25%–50% of time in the field, potentially up to 80% depending on humanitarian needs.
• Collaborating with nutrition experts, technical advisors, and program managers to ensure coordination across health, nutrition, WASH, FSL, PG-MHPSS, and MEAL programs.
