MCW Global is pleased to invite young international students to apply for the Young Leaders Fellowship Program 2025 in the United States. This fully funded leadership and exchange program is designed for young people between the ages of 18-26 who want to bring positive change in their communities through projects focused on education, health, and economic security.

Financial Benefits:

Costs Covered by MCW Global:

• International economy flights for international participants
• Domestic economy flights for U.S. participants
• Housing from July 5–July 15, 2025
• Three meals per day from July 6–July 15, 2025
• Round trip travel from New York to Burlington, Vermont
• Public transportation to/from JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark airports

Costs Not Covered by MCW Global:

• Passport fees
• Visa fees
• In-country travel costs, extra baggage fees, etc.

Program Structure:

The MCW Young Leaders Fellowship prepares young individuals to lead positive change in their communities. It includes:

• Community Needs Assessment: Participants identify and assess local issues related to education, health, or economic security.
• Virtual Training: A one-month intensive online program to develop leadership skills.
• In-Person Training: A 10-day immersive program in New York and Burlington, Vermont.
• Project Development & Mentoring: Participants work on community projects for 10 months with the support of alumni mentors.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Commitment to community development in areas of education, health, or economic security.
• Aged between 18-26 by June 1, 2025.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Commitment to complete the Community Needs Assessment in June and the in-person training in July 2025.
• Ability to execute a community project over the following year.
• Access to consistent communication via email and the internet.
• Eligible for visa and travel documentation.
• Submit a completed application before the deadline.

• December 1, 2024: First-round decisions; shortlisted candidates notified
• December 12, 2024: Second-round application closes
• January 7-16, 2025: Interviews with alumni
• January 23, 2025: Acceptances sent out
• February 1, 2025: Confirmation of acceptances
• February 6, 2025: Confirmation of visa interview date and deposit
• June 1 – June 30, 2025: Community Needs Assessment
• July 6 – July 15, 2025: In-person training program in New York and Vermont
