Job Position: Junior Accountant

Required Qualification and Experience

• Education: BA Degree in Accounting
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a related field
• Location: Addis Ababa
• Salary: 26,412.00 ETB
• Transport Allowance: 4,293.50 ETB

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial accounting reports.
• Prepare payroll for project staff and provide relevant data to the Finance Manager.
• Coordinate the processing of financial documentation (vouchers, supporting documents, etc.).
• Manage bank transfers and prepare cash flow statements.
• Record and verify transactions.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS principles.
• Supervise accounting staff.
• Collect bank statements and perform bank reconciliations.
• Understand basic tax rules and regulations.
• Use accounting software (Peachtree) and computer applications.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Office suites (MS Office, iWork)
• Microsoft Office Pack: Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Strong communication and accounting skills
• Knowledge of account management
