Position: Director, Financial Planning, Analysis and Modelling

Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Job Summary:

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive the Bank’s financial performance. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role interfaces closely with senior leadership, business units, and strategy teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement long-term strategic plans.
Provide financial insights and recommendations based on market trends and performance metrics.
Lead the bank’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Develop robust financial models for scenario planning, stress testing, and forecasting.
Oversee the preparation of timely and insightful financial reports for senior leadership.
Ensure compliance with Basel III, IFRS, and local banking regulations.
Optimize the bank’s balance sheet strategy and assist in capital allocation decisions.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
Certifications: CFA, CPA, ACCA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling. Experience within the banking or financial services industry is preferable.
Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, risk assessment, data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau), and advanced Excel modeling.
