🏒 About the Project

The Behavioral Health Sciences Unit of the School of Public Health (SPH) at Addis Ababa University, in collaboration with UNICEF Ethiopia, is launching the Behavioral Health Insights Research and Design (BIRD) Lab. The lab focuses on innovative behavioral interventions, real-time research, and capacity building to address pressing public health challenges in Ethiopia and the broader region.


🎯 Scope of the Role

The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the BIRD Lab, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient work environment, and assisting with document handling, logistics, and office coordination.


πŸ›  Key Responsibilities

πŸ”Ή Administrative Support

  • Organize and maintain office documents, schedules, and files
  • Answer calls and manage inquiries and messages
  • Assist in planning meetings, events, and conferences

πŸ”Ή Messenger Duties

  • Deliver and collect documents and packages on time
  • Log and track all deliveries and collections
  • Handle materials responsibly and safely

πŸ”Ή Office Maintenance

  • Ensure cleanliness and order of office and common areas
  • Track and manage office supplies and restocking needs
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming office atmosphere

πŸ”Ή General Support

  • Perform errands (e.g., post office runs, material purchases)
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail and courier items
  • Assist with any additional tasks assigned by the BIRD Lab Manager

πŸ‘€ Qualification Requirements

  • Education: BA Degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related social sciences
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
