πŸ“‹ Position Summary:

Lead the implementation and management of the FARM project to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of results. Supervise and support the FARM project team, coordinate with stakeholders, manage budgets, procurement, reporting, risk mitigation, and ensure compliance with environmental, social, and gender action plans.


🎯 Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate FARM project implementation and stakeholder communication
  • Lead regional activities and supervise project personnel
  • Manage budgets, procurement, contracts, and logistics
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental and Social Management Plan and Gender Action Plan
  • Support strategic dialogues among government, donors, and partners
  • Lead knowledge management and advocacy activities
  • Prepare and submit regular progress and financial reports
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, meetings, and capacity building

πŸŽ“ Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Science, Rural Development, Project Management, or Natural Resource Management

πŸ’Ό Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience including at least 5 years leading large-scale development projects/programs in international organizations
  • Experience managing multi-dimensional teams and complex programs
  • Analytical skills in livelihoods and farming systems
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian economy and Northern Ethiopia context preferred
  • Experience in agroecology, emergency/rehabilitation projects, agricultural research system, or Participatory Guarantee Scheme (PGS) is a plus
